Miklagard Golf: Norway

 

Miklagard Golf opened in June 2002 and has quickly gained an enviable reputation for the design of the 18-hole championship course and its outstanding playing condition.  In fact, in 2006 the club was ranked as “One of the 50 Venues in the World to Play Golf” and, since its inception, a number of top international golfers have visited, including Ian Woosnam and Trevor Immelman. 

Created by world-renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jr, the course flows through undulating parkland with fast, expansive greens.  The course layout is perfectly in tune with its surroundings and makes the most of the many natural
features.  Local tradition plays a part too, with each hole taking its name from Norse mythology. unsurprisingly, the golfing experience is nothing less than epic.  

The Norwegian style extends to the Clubhouse with its traditional exposed timber beams and grass-covered roof.  The Golf Shop is excellent and the practice facilities are run by a renowned and experienced team of qualified PGA Professionals.
