AGUSTIN GARCIA: General Manager, PGA Golf de Catalunya, Spain
Since its opening in June 1999, Mr. Garcia has been instrumental in PGA Golf de Catalunya being recognised by the international golf tournament community as a quality venue and has been conferred with the hosting of six international tournaments to date, including the 1999 Sarazen World Open, Peugeot Spanish Open 2000, European Senior Tour Championship, Senior Tour Qualifying school. Also, PGA Golf de Catalunya is a permanent venue for the European Tour Qualifying School (PQII).
Mr. Garcia is currently involved in the development of the club’s new infrastructure, including the recently completed second 18-hole golf course and the major upgrade works on the clubhouse, currently in progress.
Mr. Garcia has been a member of the Association of Golf Courses Costa Brava, Girona, since 1998 and a member of the Golf Course Superintendent Association of America since 2000.
