JOÃO PAULO SOUSA: General Manager, Quinta do Lago, Portugal
João Paulo has been the General Manager of Sociedade de Golfe da Quinta do Lago since April 2005.
Since spring 2002, João Paulo has been President of the Management Council of Infraquinta, which was originally formed as a joint venture between Quinta do Lago SA and the local municipality of Loulé. In 1999, its status changed and it became a municipal organisation. The aim of this organisation is to meet a series of competences and know-how, to facilitate a sound management of the local infrastructure and public areas at Quinta do Lago, thus preserving the high quality standards in this resort. In Infraquinta, he developed an Environment Certification Standard and a System of Integrated Management, which have been successfully applied.
João Paulo holds a degree in Financial Management and a post-graduate in Regional Economy & Local Development from the University of the Algarve.
