David Maclaren - Chief Executive
David was appointed Chief Executive of PGA ETC in August 2005, having spent the previous five years in charge of all aspects of golf for Marriott UK, Europe’s largest hotel golf operator.
David’s span of responsibilities included operations; service; human resources; golf course conditioning; capital and new project development; membership; sales; marketing; tournaments; and the business performance of twelve golf venues.
Marriott’s UK golf business stages several professional golf tournaments each year across a range of tours (including the British Masters 2003-2005) and encompasses 8,000 golf members and over 2,000 corporate golf events annually.
David brings a level of operational, strategic and management experience to his new role, which is, perhaps, unrivalled within the European Golf Industry.
